I started integrating yoga, mindfulness, and breath-based self-regulation in 2015 through my time at Omega Institute and the Holistic Life Foundation. I studied trauma-informed care at Penn State, Sociology at Virginia Commonwealth University, and have continued developing my own practices and pedagogy as a healer and teacher.

As a part of my work with InDiGO, I am also passionate about training Systema as a breath-based healing martial art. I've been training with Gabriel Pickus since 2015 and also had the privilege of learning from his teachers, David Fouts and Vladimir Vasiliev.

My approach to martial arts based in healing and de-escalation. Our training focuses on building people up rather than breaking them down. I aim to develop softness, sensitivity, and the tools to help people overcome harmful patterns and behaviors. Systema helps people increase relaxation and mobility by releasing tension and trauma. Practicing Systema helps me feel free in my body and mind, and ultimately is just another way that I work on myself. The healthy relationship I have built with myself serves as the foundation for the healthy relationships I have with others and with Nature.

We can all discover how to best utilize our passions and talents to pursue our path, purpose, and potential. I am dedicated to using my talents as a vehicle to interweave Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), breath-based practices, and mindful, holistic approaches to guide youth in developing self-management skills, practicing well-being, expressing themselves authentically, and building healthy relationships with their peers, community, and the planet.
