Talbolt Johnson
Talbolt Johnson is a visionary, dancer, dreamer, and advocate for human healing and development. Training at MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art), he was poised for a career as a professional painter, when he discovered his aptitude for movement and dance. Talbolt has performed and trained Breakdance and Pop-Lock Dance throughout the country. Throughout his travels, life experiences, and training in Black cultural histories and traditions, he has maintained his commitment to community here in Baltimore. In his work with youth and adults, Talbolt has developed his own methodology for fostering lasting impact in the lives of those he teaches.
Through his art, dance, writing, and teaching, Talbolt explores the human imagination, body, and mythos. Talbolt has found his path of service to humanity as a performance artist and educator throughout Baltimore City and the surrounding region. He is dedicated to using his art and teaching to illuminate the intersection of identity and expression, thereby inspiring others to make meaning through self-development and knowledge. He is an artist, philosopher, educator, and an avid student and servant of life and the human soul. |
